How to Dispose of Our Packaging:

At Restore, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact through the use of sustainable materials for all our packaging. We continuously explore eco-friendly alternatives, ensuring that the materials we use are compostable, recyclable, and sourced from responsible suppliers. We also make it easier for our customers to dispose of waste responsibly by providing designated bins on-site for compostable and recyclable materials. For customers taking products away, here’s how to properly dispose of them:

  1. Sustainably Sourced Paper & Card

    • Description: Sustainably sourced paper and cardboard, using recycled content where possible. Eco-friendly and suitable for a range of food service needs.

    • Uses at Restore: Soup Containers, Paper Straws.

    • Proper Disposal: Recyclable in your local paper recycling bin. Compostable if it’s uncoated.

  2. Polylactic Acid (PLA)

    • Description: Compostable bioplastic derived from plant sugars, primarily glucose extracted from milled corn. Provides an eco-friendly alternative to traditional plastics.

    • Uses at Restore: Clear Cold Cups, Deli Containers, Board-based Product Linings, PLA Lids, PLA Cutlery.

    • Proper Disposal: Home compostable in your compost bin, or place in a commercial composting facility.

  3. Moulded Fibre

    • Description: Made from a by-product of the sugarcane industry. This durable material is created from the fibrous residue once sugarcane has been pressed for juice.

    • Uses at Restore: Takeaway Boxes, Plates, Bowls.

    • Proper Disposal: Compostable in home composting bins. Recyclable in paper recycling.

  4. NatureFlex

    • Description: A clear film made from wood pulp, sourced from sustainably managed forestry. Certified as industrial and home compostable film.

    • Uses at Restore: Clear Bags, Clear Windows for Products, Greaseproof Film (suitable for hot and cold food).

    • Proper Disposal: Compostable in your home composting bin. Alternatively, it can be recycled with paper.

  5. Home Compostable Coffee Bags (Retail Bags)

    • Description: Made from home compostable materials to package our coffee beans. Designed to reduce plastic waste and be environmentally friendly.

    • Uses at Restore: Coffee bags for retail sale.

    • Proper Disposal: Compostable in your home compost bin.
